In light of the latest news (to me), that is the death of Trevanian, or Rodney Whitaker, which ever you prefer, I propose to all reading this:
Pick up a copy of Shibumi, (imo) the quintessential Trevanian novel, and read the hell out of it. I mean read it. Sure, it looks daunting - 500 pages, size zero font, lots of words both big and small, but it will suck you in and never let you go.
Just think, if Shibumi broke through my frigid sentimentality barrier, imagine what it could do to you!
