What a success! The concert was so damn awesome! But hold on to that... The test in Mr. Williams class was...eh. I believe the book was 343 pages or something like that. I didn't get up to there. Not even half. Who knows how I did? I found out that I was exempt from the Criminal Justice finals. Huzzah. It wasn't a big accomplishment though. The class (not everyone) was just not doing anything. But whatever.... When I went to AP Bio, I was told that I had free, but come back last period. When I did, she seemed to be in a really bad mood. But we found out how bad the mood was when she dismissed us all. Holy Crap!!!! I did not want to be within a 1 mile radius of Ms. S for a while! As for taking the bus home, I said screw it. I just walked home. Yup.
The concert was so long. This was the first time I stayed for the whole thing. Except for the singing groups, I was part of everything else, like Bryant. (Hence why we are called the Ragtime Bros.) Here are the songs I played in (I can't seem to remember the singing groups songs...):
Concert Band:
1) Prologue
2) Amazing Grace
3) Armida
4) Notre Dame Victory March (Conducted by Mr. Frank Milano!)
5) Sleep (Very true to its name...)
Jazz Band:
1) You Too
2) St. James Infirmary (Go, Little Joey! Awesome Solo!)
3) A Night in Tunisia (Go Rob! Love the Swing!)
3) Channel One Suite (Okay a couple of comments. We played it much faster than Buddy Rich, I believe. Marc and his Drum solos were excellent. Rich, or Van, or Kenny G. played his cadenza awesome. It wasn't Super Mario this time though.)
Percussion Ensemble:
1) Peter Gunn (Holy Crap. It seems I was able to pull a killer solo from out of nowhere. Mr. T was really pleased. I was able to pull cheers from the audience. I wailed, flutter-tongued, and lip-trilled. Mr.K and Doc was congratulated me afterwards.... But best off all, I was able to say to myself "Hey... I pulled off a killer solo!" Even Mike S. of the Trumpets was impressed. That night, I was really "Big Francis", as they seem to call me.)
After the concert, Jazz Band, Percussion, Concert Band, and Mr. S and Chamber Choir group went to Appleby. (Hopefully, some of you know what Appleby's means now.) We kinda numbered a little over 55. Haha. We talked the night, and I relaxed in the Hat and shades that Mr. T gave to me for Peter Gunn. By the time I was finished with dinner, I was dead tired. I think it was 1:30. Too much eating and drinking, maybe? (No! Not Alcohol!!!! lol) When we went our seperate ways, I went with Mark Dutton. I was also with Robby (D'Andrea), J.P, Andrew "Brass", Mike Rap., Luna, and others. As Mark drove, we just singed to every music on the radio: Jazz, Rock, Rap, Heavy Metal, Country, Spanish music (for J.P), and more. Haha, we did get a little lost when we dropped off Luna and J.P. But that we all right. I was too lazy to leave the car. Rob always seemed to come up with the best things to talk about: from Luna's stray G note in his solo, to looking forward to AP Bio class on Monday. What a night.... but now that I think about it, it is going to be our last night after a concert. A couple of people, including myself sad when this was brought up. But Rob said was that on Tuesday, in VG club, he would kick my Kilik with his Mitsurugi. Though fearless, I know he will be a tough one. Hardest opponent I have ever faced in my life. I looking forward to it....
Kike! Waga tamashii no kodoh o!
