Things are generally going pretty well on my end. Working on lots of things, but I feel everything is of little interest to anyone but me.
Work is going well. I've adopted more of a work-to-live mentality over the last few years and it's really the only way to go. Trading life for a faster spot in the rat race is not worth it. Still, one has to keep the overlords happy so I still devote a lot of time to that.
My exercise and diet routines are going well. I feel more athletic than at any point in my life, and have been making new PRs in the gym on various things. Recently bench pressed 200 lbs, best performance on some biking routes, did 12 pull-ups. I weigh about 180 lbs, and I put on more muscle than fat since my low point at 172lbs, which felt too thin. I'd love to try rock climbing again in my current shape.
Music study is still a lot of fun and I'm still at it. I'm learning some challenging piano pieces. The middle part of Chopin's Etude #3 is the crux of what I'm working on now. Working on some other pieces that I like very much, but am not anticipating major difficulties there. My ear for hearing pitches has improved a little bit, but for hearing chords it is awful.
While not everything is going perfectly well, things are great overall. And one should always try to focus on the positive.
