Austin
I was in Austin last weekend, visiting my cousin and her hubby and kids. Nice trip, and Austin is a nice town. I had been there once before, but this time I saw all different stuff. Swimming at Barton Springs was a highlight, as was the Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood.
Barton Springs Pool is a spring-fed "pool" with a natural bottom. It has concrete sidewalks and a diving board, but I'd never seen anything like it before. Some sections have smooth rock at the bottom, but there are wilder areas, too. There are lots of fish and plants in there. The water is super clean and fresh and non-chlorinated. It had some eerie underwater forests, too!
