Stopped here to check out the Conoco Tower gas station. An awesome bit of Art Deco architecture that we later found out was the inspiration for a place in Pixar's Cars...a phenomena that would be repeated several times out the Route 66 portion of our trip. There used to be some really nice neon on the place, but as we were to learn on the trip, the natural enemy of neon is hailstorms.
