Another One Bites the Dust
Today, I came home from a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with a friend's family, to find Taki, my little red Crested Gecko, lying dead on her back. She was emaciated, while the other geckos looked fine, so I will assume that her flatmates ousted her for the food (that, and the Winter might have been too cold for her in the apartment so far).
The last time pets of mine died was only a few months ago, to a swarm of ants. This time, it was a much less violent, though no less depressing of a loss. I feel a little cold, and a little sick right now, but I'm going to try to still have tomorrow's update ready.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I know I'm giving thanks to the fact that I had Taki as a pet, even for a short time. I've a lot of memories about her, for better or for worse, so maybe in a way it's good that she's passed on, so other things can pass with her.
