The Anonymous
Have you've heard of the group "Anonymous" that has launched a campaign against the so-called Church of Scientology? Not too long ago, they posted a message on YouTube, now with 2.5 million views, to make their declaration of war. You can still watch this video here. I celebrate their gusto in taking down the Scientologists, although I pray their methods don't escalate to violence.
Their latest hit has been picketing the church during Ron L. Hubbard's birthday on Thursday. They're clearly making the church look bad because the church tried to file suit to prevent Anonymous from protesting. The church has been getting threats and phone calls too and they found a suitcase with clothing and a Bible in it that they initially suspected to be a bomb.
Hearing all the sketchy business the church has been involved in, they've been asking for this for a long time. I'm glad someone is actively attacking the church, and clearly us Christians are doing little to put them out. It will certainly be a good day when these wackos lose their tax exempt status and eventually close their doors. I just hope lives are not lost in this little war.
