Everything's Connected
The recent events happening all over the world, most especially the Japan earthquake and the growing clamor in Northern Africa and the Middle East, have made me more see how small the world is.
The magnitude 8.9 earthquake in Japan caused tsunamis that affected majority of the countries that lie on the Pacific Ocean - the Philippines included. The growing rebellion in countries like Libya, Bahrain and Yemen is posing a threat to the world supply of oil and gas. It doesn't matter is we belong to a first world or third world country. Whatever is happening on one side of the world has an effect - directly or indirectly - to each one of us.
We are all part of this. I hope this would make us more aware, accepting and respect of the needs, beliefs and culture of each other.
