Supper club was a bit of a diasppointment tonight. First, only 6 people showed up. Montana Grill(no relation to Ted's Montana Grill in Nashville) is not exactly my favorite place, but Nelda's sister-in-law is one of the November birthdays, so we felt obligated. My chef's salad was humongus, as usual, and not bad. One of the former library staff was there with her husband. They are not regular supper clubbers, but do come occasionally. I'm afraid she is showing early signs of Alzheimer's. Her husband told her he was going to order her the grilled vegetable platter and when Nelda got there late and ordered, Helen picked up Nelda's menu and said "She didn't give me one, so I'll use yours to order. Once said veggie platter came she loudly declared that she couldn't eat that because she didn't even know what it was. nelda tried to explain that it was steamed brocoli and cauliflower with grilled zuchinni and squash, served with rice. She insisted that it was not what she ordered and refused to eat any of it. Her reaction was like they'd brought her a plate of raw meat. It was quite uncomfortable for a few minutes. Ultimately, it was quite sad, though. I've known her for 20 years now... since I started at the library as a student worker the summer after my freshman year in college. She was always so very lively. I fle tmost uncomfortable for her husband. The servie is slow there, as well, so it took forever to get our checks at the end of the meal. I'm glad we only go there once a year.

I got home about 7:30 and just finished my most recent set of papers. Now I'm watching  Nip/Tuck before a hot bath and bed.
