Workin' Man Blues
I was gonna do a long ass gripe about the terrible week that has begun, but I'm just too tired. LOL
I had a very enjoyable weekend with Shannon and Chris. I also got a few nice surprises, as well. My Moo Sister, Myrtle Mae Moo(or she may not) arrived Friday from Todd. I got another thougthful package of goodies from another friend who was on vacation(and whom I got to speak to twice this week) and Chris brought me a shot glass from his Pittsburgh layover for my collection. (He got me a Maine one last summer) Finally, a pleasant surprise from Becky capped off my weekend of surprises.
I'm looking forward to book group with Shannon on Wednesday... my only day off. I'm hoping they got Maupin for an author call-in.
Between class, grading papers and the store, I'll log about 50+ hours by the end of the week and will prob'ly be quite cranky. I still need to decide on a costume for the HP party Friday night.
Because I work every dang night but Wednesday, I won't be able to do an Aunt Nancy dinner night this week(which pisses me off most of all), but may squeeze in a lunch one day on the way back from Gallatin before heading to the store. If not, I'll see her at her grandaughter's birthday party Saturday(before heading to work at the store).
Chris and I discussed our upcoming trip to Southern Decadence on the way home from Shannon's yesterday. I just can't wait to be back in NO. It will be my first time since Katrina, as well as our first Decadence. Talking to Shannon and Bob last week about all the fabulou places to eat down there just really got me in the mood for it. We're not planning any touristy stuff for this trip, just Decadence activities, eating good food and laying around the pool at the B&B.
