Much of yesterday was spent shopping for Chris's 40th birthday party, as this is the only time I'll be up between now and Nov 8. Our first stop was Nitty Gritty, a vintage clothing thrift shop, looking for 60s' clothing to wear to the party. The store was empty when we first got there,so we had a bit of fun dressing up in various things. Chris favored silver vinyl jeans and a mesh tshirt from the 80s, while I went for a denim zipfront jumpsuit from the 70s, which turnd out ot be a bit too snug. Unfortunately, when we got to actually  trying on things from the 60s, people started pouring in. You'll understand why it was unfortunate when I post the pics tonight when i get home.

We then hit the Party Store, Target, TJMaxx, Dollar Tree and, for me, The Zone, which used to be the coolest comic book store in Louisville, but whose coolest has diminished over the past few months. The did have an Aquaman in Battle Armor action figure, marked down to 6 bucks, but decided to wait on it.

Lunch was Wendy's between stores. We got home around 5 and took naps before watching A Different Story. We weren't hungry, so we waited and grabbed more fast food on the way to tryangles, where we shot pool and ogled the go go boy for a bit. Poor Mikey was still sick, so I didn't get to see him. =( We did however run into Ed, a friend of Chris's whom I'd never met.

Today we may drive over to the Art Fair for a while after brunch...where brunch is going to be, I'm not sure yet.

Pictures are forthcoming.

friends, travel
