You know, I am a believer in the fact that all people, everywhere of course, but in the US in this instance, have the right to live their life without having to get shit on by others either because of race, religion, etc..... but I am getting tired of the blatantly liberal media powerhouse in this country using their broadness to try and influence our society. The VA Tech shootings were HORRIBLE and in no way can I comprehend how a human being could do that to anyone else. The media is riding it for all it is worth. They are now bringing up banning of handguns. Nowhere in their rants have I seen the studies that show mass shootings are sharply higher in countries or areas where guns are banned than in places where they are not. Nowhere do I see them talking about the fact that the US government has absolutely no power in determining whether or not we can have them because it is stated in the constitution. If this were to happen, the only entity that could legally own weapons is the government and I am not sure about you, but I am not at all comfortable with that thought. I also think that we are headed onto a dark road with all of this "Shock Jock" BS.I mean, Don Imus screwed up and he paid a price for it, although it was a bit high in my opinion. They just fired two guys in NYC for making Asian jokes (sorry Ruth). When did we become a nation with no sense of humor? I mean, do I get pissy when I hear Chris Rock, Richard Pryor, Jamie Fox, etc..... make fun of white people or fat people.... no, I laugh because I find it amusing because I am secure enough with myself and my heritage to know what is real and what is exagerated. People like Al Sharpton, Jesse "Bastard Child" Jackson, and the ACLU are going to keep trying to make sure that there is a "rift" in this country. ....... Oh well, maybe I can take solace in the fact that when Hiltery Clinton is elected we will slowly disolve from a democracy (even though our founding fathers never mentioned the word democracy in any of their documents and did not want a democracy because it is inheritently flawed)to a socialist state where we can all be taken care of by the government and be "equal." Erika and I will move to Mexico if this occurs because I would rather live there that in a place where I can't go to a doctor using my own medical insurance, but rather have to use a government doctor because we have socialized medicine. That is all:)
