It doesn't look very much like Japan, does it? It's much different than the pictures suggested.
Euphie, did the envoy take a wrong turn?
[An imperious, ringing voice comes after a short pause.]Prime Minister Kururugi! In the name of Lelouch vi Britannia, I demand to know why there is such a difference between your ... information and

Let us ask--
[She turned around to do just that, only to find that they seem to have misplaced the envoy. Lelouch softly muttered words made her turn back to look at him, she was trying not to think about it. It was nothing unusual for one of the Imperial family to marry for politic advantages, but it did not sit well with her. Especially not to someone whom she have not even met.
Her eyes are downcast.
I think father is more interested in the advantages that the marriage would bring to Britannia.
But the words remained unsaid. Not that it needs to be.]
We will have to meet the Prime Minister’s son before we can judge, dear brother.

[he reaches out and takes his hand, giving a firm handshake]
I suppose it'd be too much to hope it's all a dream? Whatever it is, it's inconvenient. I'd offer my apologies--but I don't really know what caused it in the first place.

It cannot be helped. Neither of us could have anticipated something like this. [She let out a light laugh.] At least it will be unforgettable.

We'll still have the ball, Euphie. [He turns to her, resting a hand on her shoulder.] We're already coordinating it. We at least won't have to be bored while we're ... delayed.
