[She knows doing this is dangerous. That lingering knowledge that people who offer things don't really do so for free remains. But, she knows that not doing this is something she'd regret more, because now that Mukuro has everything, he needs Chikusa more than he needs her.
She reaches down, fingers curling against the leather straps of her bag as she stares out into the graveyard. Already, the chills of ghost stories from long before creep up her spine.]

[And Lelouch is waiting, leaning against a particularly large headstone. It's the kind of grave that seems to have been carved for a wealthy person, an important person. When he dies, he doubts he'll receive such an honour.
He's wearing his Zero costume; it's been a long time since he's worn it, or so he feels that way. It's a necessary precaution.
He sees the girl approach. There's something familiar about her appearance, and it takes him a few minutes before his stomach drops out in horror. Rokudou Mukuro -- she looks like him. Is she an ally of this new contractor, he wonders? But no matter. Mukuro should not remember him, due to the nature of the geass Lelouch has used upon him. He is suddenly glad, more than ever, that he chose to come as Zero tonight.]
Chrome Dokuro. [And his voice has changed, and it reverberates slightly in the mask.]

[She tries not to tense suddenly at the name, recognizing that it will only serve to show how nervous she is about this. In her mind, she hears Ken berating her. Stupid girl. She straightens, biting her lip a little, determined to make the others proud of her for this.]

[And she's in his range. He doesn't waste a moment, and his mask opens up that little window for his eye.
He activates his geass.]
You will hand over your rings, but will remember only that you've dropped them on the way to the store for food, and that you met no one on your way there. [He smiles; she cannot see behind the mask. She will not remember ever seeing him, ever handing over the rings that Byakuran covets.] Is that understood? [He holds out his hand.]

[It works according to plan, except--
One ring, not two, drops into his hand. Byakuran mentioned two. But Lelouch's command under geass is absolute. He specifically mentioned rings -- plural -- which means that she's not only giving him one.
It means that she's only carrying one. He cannot be faulted for that. He'll simply have to inform Byakuran that it did not occur quite the way they had anticipated. But he smirks, takes it anyway, and heads back home without a word. He ducks behind another grave, changes clothes -- he cannot allow anyone to see him return to the apartment as Zero -- and stuffs his costume in his bag. He keeps the ring in his pocket, until tomorrow.
When tomorrow comes, he's up bright and early, and he heads to the jewelry store in the center of town.]
Can I help you? [Asks the owner pleasantly, but Lelouch has not come to buy or sell or chat. He drops the ring onto the glass counter. His eye lights with the geass sigil, and he speaks, his voice hypnotic:]Will you hold onto this for me, and keep it hidden from

Yes, my lord.
[Mindlessly, she reaches into her pocket, taking out the ring and holding it out for Lelouch.]
