[ CG DR ] Welcome Luluko vi Britannia, 99th Empress

So I've been asked a bit about the divergences between Luluko and canon for the relationship factors surrounding role-play, so I guess I'll try and pull a post on this!

First off, I wanted to create Luluko as close to Lelouch as possible... other than the fact that she was born a girl. Because Lelouch was the 11th prince and 17th in line for the throne... Luluko is 7th princess and 17th in line for the throne. (Yes, they have 10 older brothers and 6 older sisters.)

Based on that, yes, Euphemia is older just by being the 3rd princess. I've always wanted to point that out.

And personality-wise, I try to keep Luluko close to Lelouch. Even physically. She is barely any shorter than him (t-tall girl) and has the same physique as him... I'm basing this off the picture drama, after all, so they could easily pass as each other or just identical twins. If Luluko decided to dress like a guy, and Lelouch decided to dress as a girl... well, no one would notice the change unless they looked reeeally closely.

Personality... she's just a tad softer than Lelouch. Blame it on female upbringing, but she's slightly more touchy-feely. But of course, only with the people she trusts and/or likes. She's more than willing to give hugs and kisses to her siblings, and will also give out (slightly awkward) comforting hugs to others. (Although so far, that list has only been for children and moe characters.) Luluko can be a ready flirt if she feels awkward with a situation. It's a girl's natural defense, after all; if you play the girly interested party, you're less suspicious and likely to get hurt. Who would have expected Zero to be a Britannian schoolgirl, after all?

And while she can get snappy and vindictive just like Lelouch, for the most part she is also apathetic like him. Mildly curious about situations to see if she can use them for her own advantages, and just as clueless about people. She knows she looks good, and knows when people are interested in her... but she's got no clue if they truly love her or not. That brings about a mild detachment to anyone in the series she hasn't interacted with a lot.

I shouldn't need to point out that she is a lying liar who lies. Unless you're Nunnally, you should give a second thought to what she says. Even if she does care a good deal about you, she will lie her ass off about how she doesn't.

Relationships?

Nunnally Lamperouge is obviously still Luluko's most precious person and treasure of her life. Her little sister is the apple of her eye and the absolute meaning of her life... but seeing their interactions during the latter half of R2 and how Luluko died, leaving Nunnally behind... well. It's somewhat of a delicate subject now. So far, there isn't a Nunnally in DR from post-series, and Luluko is somewhat glad. She doesn't know how to face her sister anymore.

Lelouch Lamperouge is a mystery. There are too many there, and Luluko can't always tell one from another until they open their mouth. It's the attitude that gives each one of them away, so if she just sees one of them, she can't really tell them apart. For the most part, she is a bit wary of Lelouch the same way she would be wary of facing herself. She understands that they are far to similar to think differently, and thus, a challenge against Lelouch would probably only be won through luck.
On the sublevels, though, Luluko is endlessly amused by her male counterparts and quite impressed with them as well. Knowing what she knows, it's a strange love/hate relationship that someone can only seem to have with themselves... except she has it with more Lelouch in DR. She's very open with who she is when it comes to Lelouch because she likes to see the various reactions, but also because she sees them as herself, only male. That being said, Luluko is currently caring for chibi!Lulu and is going to lay a smackdown on anyone who does something bad to moe!Lelouch. =[

Gino Weinburg is someone Luluko now wished she got to know more back when she was alive. Or not. Currently, though, she has a real soft spot for Gino who treats her as someone to be cherished rather than detested for what she has done. She hasn't asked what he knows or when he's from... and she really doesn't want to, because Luluko really wants to think that maybe they can be good friends (friends, pffffft) here, unaffected by previous loyalties and ties. She still wonders why he's so nice to her, but for the moment, she's going to take all the kindness she can get as she's slowly starting to really care for him.

Suzaku Kururugi is a whole different level of guilt trip for Luluko. She desperately wants them to be friends again... best friends. At a point, she used to crush on Suzaku... but that was quickly tossed aside in her mind as things progressed and they went from friends to enemies to comrades and finally, with the completion of Zero Requiem, their relationship is so ambiguous that Luluko doesn't want to try and wrap her mind around it. She wants Suzaku to tell her that they can be friends again, but doesn't feel she deserves it. But old habits die hard and out of all the people in DR, she would trust her life with Suzaku the most no matter how ambiguous their relationship is. After all, he was the one who complied when she asked that he kill her. Until that is resolved, any conversations between her and canon Suzakus would lead to either crazyface or sullen silence.

Kanon Maldini i-is the only character I'm totally running away from canon with. XD In Luluko's universe, Kanon used to babysit her and Nunnally for Schneizel, and thus, Luluko remembers him and all the embarassing exploits she forced upon him as a little girl. And while Luluko was always the composed and sharp princess, she was a total brat to Kanon. This behaviour carried over to DR and now no conversation is sacred or safe from silliness between them. They are now gossip buddies and fashion buddies, and they have so much blackmail material on each other that they have to call a truce between them.

Schneizel el Britannia is dear to her heart under many, many layers of irritation, sibling rivalry, jealousy, and guilt for what she did to him before she died. He has always been better than her at everything from sports to chess, and that has always irritated Luluko to no ends. While Lelouch is the man Schneizel loved and feared the most, Schneizel is the brother Luluko both loved and hated the most. He's the impossible barrier to surpass in her eyes, and reminds her of happier days in the imperial court that she would rather forget. She remembers Schneizel as a manipulative, but loving brother... and thus, she is wary of him for reasons knowing that he can outsmart her, and because she doesn't want to be reminded that she was once happy as a princess.
