Make Stuff #3 "Slingshot" - Done!
One more rolling ball sculpture, completed! Schweet!
This one was fun. This is the first time I've done a loop-the-loop on a sculpture, and I have to say it turned out pretty nicely. The ball is still moving at a good clip when it reaches the end, but I formed the catch well, so it just drops down in the pocket even though it's still spinning. Kinda cool.
This one was a little tough because it was tall. The supports were a bit of a challenge. If it weren't mounted to the wood base it would be very wobbly. It's kind of a spindly thing, but that's exactly what I like about it.
Well, three down, two to go! When I get this set done I can move on to some other orders that I have waiting. Once the other orders are done I can start putting the resulting income toward the TIG welder that I need (not want - NEED!) to get. Then, kids, it's going to be a whole new and completely freakishly amazing deal!
