Accent Marks for the Mac OS X
System 10.4
by Timoth Gallagher
Remember these important things :
If you want to write in Welsh and Cornish, Switch from a U.S. Keyboard to Welsh Unicode, by selecting the international keyboard. This is available on the Systems Preferences.
This is important if you need to place accent letters over the W, Y, and A.
X, simply doesn’t exist in standard Irish or Welsh, unless it’s for scientific words such for medical research like x-ray or foreign loan words, like Xylaphone.
ŵ - circumflex - opt + #6, x
I had to switch from a Standard Roman Keyboard - to a Unicode Keyboard. In order to place the circumflex directly under the lower case w. Otherwise it would look like ^w.
ẃ - acute - opt + e, x
ẁ - grave - opt +` , x
ẅ - umlaut - opt + u, x
ā - macron - opt + a, x
ñ - tilde - opt + n, x
ç - circumflex - opt +, x
