Right, so, yesterday I had the weirdest thing happen to me... I had a good mom day! I dont know why I called her and asked her if she wanted to grab some food downtown (if we're on my turf its easier for me to come up with an excuse to leave if I can't handle her). None the less, she managed to not be completely insane. We had food, went shopping and spent a good 5 hours together. If it weren't for the ride home being full of the annoying "mom" comments about how I'd be soo much more attractive if I'd just lose a few pounds and stay quiet in front of guys it would have been a great mom day. But such is reality. The fact that I got 4 and a half hours with an almost sane version of my mother is extremely rare, and I'm glad I got that time.
