We've reached the last episode of Merlin before the show's two-part finale and 'The Drawing of the Dark' is every bit as epic as you'd expect.
On a hunt with his fellow knights, Mordred (Alexander Vlahos) stumbles across an old friend - Kara (Alexandra Dowling) - and finds his loyalty to Arthur (Bradley James) tested...
Relentlessly pursued by a suspicious Merlin (Colin Morgan), Mordred is torn between love and duty - will the tormented warlock emerge from this crisis untainted or is he doomed to a dark fate?
Merlin continues on BBC One this Saturday (December 15) at at 8.15pm.
1. "Your doom is near!"
2. Expect a series-best performance from the fantastic Alexander Vlahos. 3. "It is you and Camelot who shall pay the price." 4. Prepare to have your sympathies divided - we didn't always side with Merlin this week. 5. "He's beguiled you - he's beguiled you all!" 6. Merlin compares himself to a swan, while Arthur offers up a less flattering comparison. 7. "You're a druid - you don't belong in Camelot." 8. Will Arthur be doomed by his own actions? 9. "I've made a terrible mistake, haven't I?" 10. The final scene will leave Merlin fans across the land with jaws agape.
