Could Arthur finally be about to embrace magic? The noble king (played by Bradley James) is faced with a difficult decision in this week's instalment of Merlin - accept the "old ways" or lose his newest knight Mordred (Alexander Vlahos), who's been mortally

1. Merlin is forced to speak nine words we never thought we'd hear him utter. 5. Is the Merlin / Arthur bromance in danger of becoming a man-love triangle? 6. "More and more, I find your face resembles the back-end of a cat." 8. "Of all the ridiculous things you've ever said, Merlin... that's the most ridiculous. By far."
At times like this I wish I was not so invested into the show to get so upset over the above lines ... :(

Can I just say how very pissed off I will be if we see Arthur choosing to trust in Mordred, who he DOES NOT FREAKING EVEN KNOW, over Merlin! My GOD, seriously. At this point, as much as I love Arthur, if after TEN YEARS, he's still willing to choose to believe just about anyone over Merlin, he bloody well deserves his fate! (>.<)
This show has NO logic at all. Just watch for Bradley and Colin's scene together and see them enjoying acting with each other. Others, we shouldn't care. This is what this show teach me :).
*sigh* Sad but true. I really do only watch it for Bradley's and Colin's scenes together. They play off each other beautifully. I just wish, considering this is most likely the last season, they'd have at least stopped with the annoying "Arthur can't see past the end of his nose when it comes to the right people to trust" thing. It makes him look like a very moronic King. And makes Merlin look like a bit of a masochist, spending ten years with Arthur trusting every Tom, Dick or Harry that comes along and tells him something that goes against what Merlin has said, with Arthur then insulting Merlin. *double sigh*
sadly, that's exactly what those 'spoiler'ish clips had shown.... Arthur gleefully lifted up Mordred after a successful training session, then both of them just walked on by as Merlin approached them completely ignoring him. (A much rude, cruel, and sadistic rehashing of that Cedric/Agravaine story-arcs combo.)
Now, as him feeling "ignored and unloved", it looks like his subsequent actions will be more of a lover scorned that lost the plot of his supposedly being a wise wizard that he had only to exist and do everything for Arthur than to actually stand up for his people. He even willing on to have Mordred killed just to get him out of the way.
I feel seriously sick at the thought of Merlin denying his desire to show who he really is for the sake of Arthur yet again. How can he say : There is no place for magic in Camelot????? How? It looks like a fab episode but to go with Gaius' line from ep 4 : Iam not sure my heart can take it!'
