Andy's been working on the show since 2010, he's one of the 'on set' special effects guys, not someone who's working at The Mill, adding digital special effects to filmed scenes (means he knows cast/crew probably quite well). That's making him a rather reliable source imo. Not 100% official of course and there's still hope that maybe a sixth series will happen (maybe a shorter series?) or those movies TPTB keep talking about.
But overall I guess S5 really is the last series of Merlin. Damn, it's not completely unexpected but now I'm getting a bit sentimental about it. :,( *sniffles*

Arthur/Merlin won Round 2 with 34.026 (52.39%) votes, Derek/Stiles with 53.976 (82,1%) votes. In Round 3 Arthur/Merlin are up against LotR's Aragorn/Legolas, Derek/Stiles are up against Harry Potter's Draco/Harry.
