The magical reveal is so overdue, it's not even funny. *sigh*
Though we all know that we won't get one too soon since TPTB stick to their concept of keeping the damn magic secret from Arthur like Winnie Pooh to a honey pot. And depending on whether a sixth series will be commissioned we'll probably have to wait even longer for it.
It'd surprise me if they'd really manage to make a film, let alone a trilogy. And just in case they'd want to keep the 'Merlin - superhero in disguise' concept of the show for a film that could mean we wouldn't get a reveal in the show at all. That would be a massive DNW in my book. D:
I doubt they would make any movies. I can't see it translating well to screen unless they really up their writing skills. I'm much rather see a series 6 than the movies anyway but I'm pretty sure this series is all there is going to be. And likely no magical reveal.
Yeah, I still don't fully buy the 'we'll make a movie trilogy' story either. How many TV producers promised fans a movie/movies when they were about to end a show and those movies never happened?
Unless the magical reveal takes place at least at the end of S5 I'm not really interested in a sixth series, I'm afraid. As much as I love the show and the cast but another year of the same stories and sticking to the same damn formula over and over again would be pretty much unbearable. They've managed to drag out a reveal over five series (which is 8-10 years of canon time) and that's just ridiculous.
Katie is so funny. Loved the Star Wars reference.
