[read more]First feature film by erstwhile actor/director Eoin C Macken, CB was made for a couple of grand over 16months and then subsequently picked up 'Around the Scenes', sold at the AFM and released worldwide on VOD and in USa + Canada on DVD in 2009/2010. which was a massive achievement for the indie flick....it stars many actors who have gone on to great things: Emmett J Scanlan (Charlie Casanova, Hollyoaks), Brian Fortune (Game of Thrones), Cillian Scott (Love/Hate), Yare Jegbefume (Neverland) and was shot by Danny Katz who shot Tribeca Flick with Oscar Isaac (Revenge for Jolly). It also features sound track by Una Healy before she joined the Saturdays and by supreme composer Kevin Whyms (Whymsonics) of Noise Control....

[read more]The original feature film by Eoin C Macken. Dreaming For You was made in New York over 10 days by Eoin and fashion photographer Gerry Balfe Smyth for pocket change. It screened at the 2010 Galway Film Festival and then took a while to get released into the ether. With a riveting soundtrack by The Evora and Kevin Whyms, and performances by Tom Lambertsen, Kettie Rompre, Seijo Imazaki and Eoin Macken (Merlin), with a beautiful cinematic style from Smyth, DFU has some truly beautiful moments, looking at a young isolated man in New York slowly dropping into madness. 'How can you be alone in a world full of people'.?

[read more]A Documentary on the Irish fashion industry (the art of modelling and that of a photograph), by Eoin C Macken and Carl Shaaban, made off the cuff for a few quid in 2008/9 and subsequently picked up by RTE television for 2009/2010. It looks at the Irish fashion industry and was ahead of it's time, made before the explosion of reality fashion series and fashion films. With a soundtrack by the Brilliant Things and Una Healy's original music, and interviews with the biggest names in Irish Fashion+Photography at the time: Mike Bunn, Rebecca Morgan, Eddie Shanahan, Laragh McCann, catherine Condell. This film was the forefront of the fashion film development.
