whatsonstage.com: On...Merlin & The Legend Of King Arthur [interview with the director of Merlin & The Legend of King Arthur, from July 8th - August 13th at The Dukes, Lancaster] Many young people may know Merlin from the BBC show. How does this differ?
Lots of children keep saying to me - which Merlin will it be? The young one (like in the television series) or the old one? Our Merlin is an older man, more traditional in some ways but also our version is written specifically for the land where it will take place. The other big difference is one of theatricality - the television series uses film technology very effectively but I’m not sure that it will be anywhere near as exciting as our version. When our Green Knight has to have his head chopped off we really have to do that theatrically - no edits or computer animation to help us.

Marine Pitoiset (original post in French): Little review of the shooting today also (besides Isabelle @ I think has been the daughter of Jura ^ ^). The castle is beautiful, the staff very friendly compared to the sometimes intrusive fans, but for aujdui friendly (I found). Then we could see the (very, D) near Bradley, Colin (tou. day .. smile, I love it!), Angel, Katie (adorable - she was interviewed on BBC in the courtyard of castle), the actors playing Lancelot, Perceval, brother of Gwen, Gwaine, Sir Leon! And their linings / stunt scenes for the horse. A new character of note: brown with black horse, apparently a new villain![sounds like she's referring to Agravaine] Otherwise, a banqueting scene, two thrones and flower petals on the ground;) Anyway I say a big thank you to everyone who can attend the filming, the actors and big thank you!

I managed to get an autograph from katie, Lancelot and Sir Leon who are very charming!! and a smile and a hello from colin!! my son is thrilled ... and so are we! especially my husband who loves katie!!
Isabelle Duboy (original post in French): Back from Pierrefonds First Impressions: Colin is always smiling! This is a great experience and there were many French fans (North of Paris, the Vendee!) As well as English and German and Italian even Canadian! Tuesday afternoon was the jousting tournament and tomorrow ... they are at it again. They appear to be in PF until the 27th (but won't film on weekends). Today we witnessed scenes on horseback, saw the throne room specially equipped and the banquet hall ..... more later!

@LornaParker in a series of tweets in reply to @Kerstenn: It wasn't chaotic but apparently there were some fans who went to the caravans and tents of the actors and it didn't please the crew. I totally understand. Of course, nothing's closed in a way that would've made it impossible to access the area but it was obvious that we shouldn't go. It's stupid behaviour from of those "fans" there. All they're able to do is to close access to the filming in that location (yesterday, it wasn't the castle itself). I don't understand this kind of behaviour. I think we already are very fortunate to attend the filming of a series we like and see the actors & crew at work. Some will end up spoiling everything. I hope it will get better now
