I'm not all that fussed about the knights tbh, but as long as Merlin and Arthur are still central and the most important characters I don't mind them (hopefully) bringing some more exciting plots with them :)
Since Arthur and Merlin weren't especially central in S3 I better don't get my hopes up too high for S4. :( At least I hope they'll stop this 'Arthur throwing stuff at Merlin' bullshit. *heavy sigh*
You're probably right :( And they have said it's going to be more about Arthur, Merlin and the knights now I guess. The knights are a good thing really, and they seem to have given whole sections of fandom a new lease of life so I can't complain, I'm just still bitter over the relegating of M/A in series 3 (and the throwing things, I'm with you on that one). I'm likely to treat series 4 like I did series 3, skip whole episodes and immerse myself in fanfic :D
Although I will always have an enormous soft spot for Sir Leon. He is my favourite knight.
I didn't have specific hopes for S3 last year but of course I expected to enjoy watching the show. Unfortunately, more often than not, I didn't really enjoy what I saw, too many A/M scenes left me *MEH*, Morgana was just a boring and one-dimensional villain (come on, writers, even villains have layers and don't consist of 100% blank hate) and why they call Merlin the most powerful sorcerer of all time (when he isn't even capable of stopping the stupid Cup of Life from falling down into the hands of his enemies) is sometimes beyond me. I'd be devestated if they'd continue like that in S4
( ... )
In the words of 'Sir Oswald' when Uther was passing sentence on Gwaine, 'I couldn't agree more'. S3 was a bit of a let down when considering S1 and S2. In trying to make everything bigger and better in some cases the producers seem to have forgotten 'character development' and 'plot'. In fact a lot of S3 seemed to be 'recycled' scripts..

Oh well, he got knighted and it looks like he'll be around more often, that's what counts, right? :D So much looking forward to more knightly action!
