OMG - they really shouldn't be let anywhere near female characters, actually any character that requires some sort of you know - character development.
They are not only misogynist and homophobic, but very much morally bankrupt as well; they create 2D characters, its why all magic users other than Merlin where "evil", including Morgana, who could have had reason to be against Arthur, but they just couldn't give her that. Demons sounds very much like its in the same vein (they had a woman kill her son, and then sit around having coffee and laughing afterwards) I would be very much worried for their mental health if I actually cared any.

No, you really don't want to watch it, one of the things a fuss was made about was PG's American accent, apparently it was so bad it made ears bleed. (and he was written as a Texan for no apparent reason, but he decided to just to an American accent as he had never done one before)
Also one of the comments I read was " my brain wants to be sick"

Oh I forgot the other trait that we've seen before - and I think you used the other week
"creatively bankrupt"
Either the UK networks are an old boys network, and the J's are part of that network, or they've got some incriminating photo's

edit no 2 (cause I'm having fun dredging up all the horrible things that have been said about the J's previous shows)
Hex was named in SFX's top 10 shows of the [last] decade

It really is a wonder that they can find employment at all

and yes, I agree with you, nothing could have saved s5, and Sleepy Hollow is wonderfully cheesy

I just watched the Atlantis finale (sue me, I couldn't sleep). It was really, really good. If they can pull off an episode like that, why can't they do it every week? Why why why?

If you think about Merlin, how many episodes were actually well-written an executed? Last Dragonlord, the 2-part S4 opener (even though they ended any chance of dramatic interest by removing Lancelot from the story)? Servant of 2 Masters was a lot of fun, one of my favorites, but it made no sense... why didn't Merlin just blast Morgana when she had him in her hut? Why didn't they just tell Arthur about the snake thingie? Etc.

They had one of the greatest actors of our times at their disposal for FIVE YEARS. We should all have had to quit our jobs to watch Merlin in a continuous loop. Imagine Merlin with good writing an character development... the greatest wasted opportunity since.. Adam and Eve ate the apple.

*pats your back* I know, I know, they could do it, and yes, there were some scenes where they knocked it out of the park, but then you always where asking, why didn't they do this, or that, or...just WTF is going on why *breaks down sobbing* and then you have that they could never break the mold of Arthur being clueless and unable to dress himself, and Merlin making stupid decisions and doing stupid things all for a quick laugh, and to the detriment of the characters.

I use the analogy of watching my son swim; he can kick, he can blow his bubbles and do the arm movements, just, all not at the same time (something about multiskilling with that kid!) every so often he does for a few seconds and its great, and then he forgets and sinks....
