Apparently so. He probably has the legs and collar bones to pull off wearing one. :P
I sometimes think that just because 'Merthur' and 'Brolin' are a ~big thing~ on Tumblr some people tend to forget that not everything about fannish shipping of characters (or people) is 'real'.
We're probably well past the time where asking about Arthur/Merlin seems overly weird (esp. after that last ever episode) but that wasn't always the case (I remember earlier conventions where A/M questions were brought up and fandom collectively groaned/facepalmed about it).
Over the past 2-3 years the 4th wall crumbled and mostly vanished and maybe that's not always a super bad thing per se, however asking about Bradley/Colin is just REALLY strange and all kinds of wrong (at least in my book).
Hee hee. Gad, why are we always trying to dress up Merlin in dresses when we should be putting knights in dresses (in fanfic, of course)? :D
*sigh* I guess it's that fourth wall thing, eh? I like the fourth wall. I feel like an old fuddy duddy on the one hand, but on the other, surely the actors want some privacy.
Agreed. Be done asking about Bradley/Colin already.
Did you read riventhorn's awesome fic where Merlin turns into a girl for Arthur, but Arthur doesn't know? alby_mangroves illustrated it. I orchestrated the whole thing, with complete glee, I might add:D
:::hugs::: Oh, bb. I know the feeling though. I feel like I am only now getting my disoriented feet under me. It has taken me a while to be able to approach the show and reading fanfic again. The recent vids that have surfaced have broken my heart all over again, but I find I'm a little less broken now than I was after the finale.
I think it is totally fine to ask about Arthur/Merlin as they are fictional characters after all and audience can intepret their relationship according to their understanding (and in this case, they are not exaggerating). But to ask about Bradley/Colin is embarrassing, paparazzi and inappropriate.
The internet has a way of normalizing the attitudes and interests of users over time since they gather together online in communities full of the like-minded. That's great when it comes to things like minority groups feeling good about themselves and supported. It's less great when it comes to things like people getting the idea that their whimsical notions about which actors (of whatever gender) should be together or secretly might be together is a regular sort of thing to bring up to the actors themselves and put them on the spot about publicly.
This hasn't just happened with Colin and Bradley. People have asked Colin if he's dating Katie. Awkward. Angel was asked if she was dating Bradley Cooper of all people, but at least that's not as bad as a colleague (not that she's spared much of that since there's plenty of people with big obsessions about whether her and Bradley James could be dating). If they want the world to know who if anyone they are dating they'll make an announcement. As is they all seem to value their privacy.
*facepalm* I can't believe that fans ask about Merlin/Arthur and especially Colin/Bradley. Ugh.
