Free will or fate is just a BIG city

Do you believe in Fate or free will?

This was a question that was asked of me by one of my good Friends and we talked about it for a great deal of time. So i thought i would share my opinion and would love for you to all tell my yours.

I believe that there is always a combination of both fate and free will in our life.

Isn't that a tad contradictory? Doesn't that eliminate all prospects of fate?

No. Fate is something completely out of our hands. Free will is just a way to bend our ways to get around those obstacles.

Some people say that life is like Huge highway. There are many exit ramps along the way. But all exit ramps only connect to a entrance ramp to the exact same high way for you to get back on the same track to go the same way that your fate determined you were meant to go.

I disagree to this point. I believe that our like is like a community. There are many different roads. All of them crisscross back and forth and make a giant web of all the places you go in your life. thats the fate part. Everywhere you are meant to go to is in the community of your life. But the roads you take and places you stop on the way make the aspect of free will come into play.

Then people may ask why try? you will eventually stop at the places you are supposed to go anyways. Was that really what i said. No i said that you Determine the places you stop when you go there and how long you would like to stay. Fate is only a suggestion is i guess what i mean.

There are a few things that are exceptions to the rules though.

The exit ramp to death:
Some people get off to soon they say. I say life is only a journey to death. If you live your life to the fullest it will not matter when you leave.

The Shopping mall of love:
If I say love is free will...some could argue fate implies that everyone has someone meant for them but my friend made a good comment..."what exactly are my chances of FINDING That person?"
But you have free will to enter the store. But fate determined what you wanted and how much you will buy.
ok... so love is free will until you fall... then it turns to fate? but there is the contradiction. "fate is itself prospected as being something pre-determined and without fail...and yet, had you chosen NOT to love this person, then you would have just disproved fate...but then again, fate never would have existed in the first place" my friend then would argue.

This is a never ending circle. could it be that if Free will determines fate and that fate determines free will. its is just a large circle of free will....
