Video ipod

Who knows where I can download tv shows in ipod video formats AND can possibly explain it to me like I were an 60 year old technologically challenged geezer? If you can appreciate that egregious run on sentence and can point me in the right direction, you shall get lots of love in return. Troy?

Mahalo.

I miss all of you my lj homies.

Legally, you can download a lot of shows off of iTunes now for iPods. NBC, ABC, etc are starting to get onto the scene with downloadable shows as well. All of these usually have one-time fees per show with varying levels of DRM (Digital Rights Management... stuff that prevents you from watching more than one time, for example).

If you're looking for downloadable iPod TV shows you can watch for free, think: filesharing. My favorite combination is the utorrent client with a TV-show only website like #eztv. Just visit the site when you know a show is going to be on and download with the client (or you can set up the RSS feed to automatically download the show if you want to get more advanced).

Just be aware that in the US, TV filesharing like this is becoming more and more under attack by the MPAA. It's still in the grey area, but now that there are legal alternatives beginning to pop up, it's likely that the MPAA will step up the lawsuits in the coming years.

Hope this helps.

If you do use the bittorrent route, iPod TV shows are usually marked as "[ipod]" or something like that. I know there are ipod-only websites, but since I don't have an iPod I don't use them. Just google for "ipod" and "bit torrent" and you'll probably end up somewhere helpful.
