the birthday post
today is my birthday...I am in such a different place from last year! Those who have followed the whole tale know what I speak of. This time last year, I was sitting on a rock comtemplating the sorry state of my marriage (yet again), listening to Simon and Garfunkel (in honor of Dad) and wondering if the process of getting a gastric bypass is really something I wanted to do.
Well...no rock this year, but the marriage you ALL know about. I am sitting on the couch watching Hell's kitchen with my boyfriend (who is the sweetest, most sensual, most wonderful man alive). I'm watching MY DOG sleep on the chair - a much more sociable little guy. Yes, I still listened to The Sounds of Silence this morning...in honor of Dad always.
The Bypass - still the best thing I did for me, despite the fact that both bread and salads are a thing of the past.
Oh...the dinner of choice ><> ... a lovely lemon pepper halibut! Don't let anyone tell you that your tastes don't change following wls! I HATED fish before, now yum!
Bowling! who knew! - love it!
I'm still following the same career path (for a change), and excited about full time education @ King's in September (remind me of that in November).
Finally the path is solid...set, comfortable and for the first time in a long time - HAPPY! (OH AND B TOWN BOUND COME SPRING)
