Okay, so tonight's Battlestar was one solid kick in the nuts. I just spent the last hour or so looking at people's opinions and comments over in the Battlestar Blog episode review thread.

flummoxicated brought up a great theory that really got me thinking... So I dug out my classic BSG DVDs, and whaddaya know.. I think we have a winner ( Read more... )

Reading this makes me feel better about what just happened. Now I just want to know when it's going to happen. Because...well, I don't think I can wait until next January to see what becomes of her.

Or to witness her reunion with the Adamas.

There's always the possibility that the recently-confirmed DVD movie they're making between seasons will focus on Starbuck and her post-Maelstrom adventure (assuming I'm correct in thinking she's not permanently dead, of course) :)

I could see that happening. I could see the entire film focusing on that (which would be fabulous for Katee--a whole two hours mostly to herself!) and then season 4 starting where that leaves off, with all that stuff resolved.

That was brilliant, gave me chills. I think and hope you're right, it would def be cool to see a more collected, changed Kara.

Brilliant! Haven't watched the original series, so it's pretty cool when people come up with stuff like that.

I also thought Leoben was one of the final five. Does that mean that head Gaius and head Six are belong to them, too?

I'm also wondering how Kara will be send back. I mean, she has no body left, right? It probably wouldn't matter in any other scifi series, but with BSG it seems different.

YES. I believe the mind-people are the Final Five. There's this too-common theme of people seeing people who aren't there. Plus, it would explain how the final five can be there without anyone knowing it. They exist only in specific people's minds, subtly manipulating events.

Baltar is one of the Final Five then?

Not Gaius Baltar himself, according to my theory. The illusive Gaius that Caprica 6 sees in her head. I believe he is one of the Final Five who has taken on the appearance of a man that would affect Caprica 6.

This was exactly what I was thinking, except I couldn't remember the particulars about the original series.
