It's been awhile. . .
Wow, I haven't updated in forever. I spent about an hour or so writing this extremely long update but it got erased somehow. That was a week ago and I lost interest when it disappeared.
I'm home from Georgia Southern now. I have been for a long time. Today starts the third week I've been home, I can't believe it's already been that long.
The first week out of school Steven, Josh and I went backpacking for 5 days. It was awesome. Definately the most fun I've had backpacking in a long, long time. Alot of the trip was unplanned. We had a map and a rough idea of where we wanted to go each day but we didn't neccesarily have to stick to the plan. One day our trail ended on a dirt road. It was supposed to cross the dirt road and continue but it did't, it just ended. So we picked a direction and hiked that way down the road for about 4 hours and luckily we found the trail we were looking for. Another day we dedicated the whole day to a quest to get cell phone reception. We needed cell phone reception to call Josh's Dad and tell him where to pick us up at the end of the week. So we climbed up the tallest mountain we could see hoping to get service. Luckily we did, if we didn't I have no clue what we would have done. All in all, much fun was had.
I'm now a member at the YMCA. I don't know how to use any of the workout machines though. So as of now I just run on the treadmill.
Started Lifeguarding on Saturday. It was okay. There's no deep end at the pool, so I'm not too concerned about having to save someone. I'm still not sure about the whole testing the chlorine in the water thing, I'll figure it out. Right now the only problem is they aren't giving me enough hours. This week I'm only scheduled for 16.5 hours. That's not enough, I want more.
Listen to the fortune I got from a fortune cookie the other day. It's awesome: "The scars of the past will soon be soothed by a passionate new love". Oh yeah, that's hott. Most fortunes lately suck, but this one is good. It's a keeper.
