Who's to blame?
In case anyone was planning on watching a little Sportscenter in the next week, please don't. I saw the worst sports fight in life tonight. It was between the Detroit Pistons the Indiana Pacers and the Detroit fans, it was horrible. All the sports announcers were saying it was the worst thing they'd seen in sports history.
The thing is, you can't really blame anyone. Everyone was going crazy. This wasn't one of those cases where everyone blames the players for going into the stands. Fans were on the court fighting the players, dozens of them. Five minutes into the brawl I think the two teams, the Pacers and the Pistons, actually teamed up against the fans.
There wasn't near enough security. They couldn't control what was going on.
I guess you could try to blame the players. They're supposed to keep their cool and deal with taunts from the fans. I want to blame the players cause they're the ones being payed millions of dollars a year to play a sport. But there were literally dozens of fans throwing cups of beer, punches, folding chairs, anything they could get their hands on.
I really don't suggest anyone to watch the replay. It'll put you into a bad mood.
