Al-Qaeda condemns Rushdie honour, is it just me or does this seem a bit of a non-event?
We invaded Iraq with the US et al, so Al-Qaeda declared we were a target. We honour an author with a knighthood (apparently he's not even that great a writer... I've never read any of his work so shall remain on the fence), so Al-Qaeda declare we're a target.
Talk about playing all your cards at once. Are we doubly at risk of a terrorist attack now? Of course not. Propaganda and it's being played in to very nicely... what what.
