And you have 30 minutes to forget about it. I didn't think I'd ever post here again but I just happened to come accross my old posts and well, its cool to see where you've been...
2009 has been interesting. Definitely better than past years. I'm still driving the 2. It's got a worn out transmition and the right quarter panel is rusting but it's still kickin. Ever since last August ('08), I've gotten into concert mode. Since going to VirginFest 08 I've been to Shamrockfest, Chili Cookoff, Incubus and VirginFest 09. I cant believe its taken me this long to get into this stuff! Last winter I found out a friend of mine worked in the building next door to mine. We started meeting almost daily for smoke or coffee breaks. Coffee breaks turned to drinks after work and finally I convinced her to come hang out with me and my friends at Kenway house on St. Patricks Day. That night, or rather the next morning we had our first kiss. 2 days from now Cat O'dell and I will be celebrating our 6 month aniversary. Shes wonderful. At the beginning of the summer right before cat started her internship at NCIS, we went on vacation to a resort in Myrtle beach called the Ocean Sands. The place was big and beautiful on the property around the suites, but when we went to the beach that afternoon, our jaws dropped. We had a ton of fun that weekend. We also got to spend some time with Anna Banana. That trip was definately one for the books. There were a ton of bbq's this summer. On July 4th we went down for our 3rd annual lighting of fireworks over great falls. Virgin festival really was our last hoorah for summer. We had a great time but my two favorite bands were Weezer and Franz Ferdinand who really know how to rock a show even thought they didnt have half the crowd of the bands on the main stage. A couple of weekends ago Navi and Susan became Mr. & Mrs. Bhandari. The wedding was really nice and I'm happy for them. Navi in the mean time is working his ass off in CVS pharmacy @ Congressional Plaza. I'm using Susan as a tutor this semester. I really have to make this one work my way because I'm down to the wire. I was recently a little blown about the Ninja. I'd rebuilt the bike entirely over the winter and spring. I was hoping to get it done in time to catch the last bit of the riding season. I guess that wont be the case though. A few days ago I got white smoke coming out of the pipes which means I have to change the head gasket. I might as well see what else I can do while I have everything off. This will be 3 years without being able to legally ride. I was sad for a while, but then I drove out to poolesville on a beautiful sunny afternoon and my problems seemed to disappear. Its funny how that always works. And that was 09.
