Black Friday (and other such nonsense)
I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween, blah blah blah. I love Halloween. I Really do. But this year......meh. Now I can get on with my other favorite holiday ever. Christmas.
Now, I will be the first person to rant about when Christmas stuff starts coming out before Halloween. But I also secretly start playing christmas music as soon as Halloween is done. That doesn't mean I approve of it on the radio (which it is. Delilah has been playing it). I kinda don't even like seeing Holiday decorations in the malls or comercials on tv. That being said. I'm listening the Holiday jukebox that the guy over at xentertainment has up while looking up recipes and putting together the best holiday album ever. None of that traditional "little drummer boy" (unless it's Bowie and Crosby's version, because really. Bowie). I'm including the South Park songs, of course, because no Christmas album is complete without "Merry Fucking Christmas." And my all time favorite: Last Christmas by Wham. Other than that....I'm kinda at a loss. Some Pogues? Ramones? Dee Snider singing "Oh Come all Ye Faithful"?
My mother and I are making plans to try to get out of working Black Friday and doing some shopping. CRAZY you say? Of course. But also super fun. I'm gonna do it. Then we're gonna come home, take a nap, and start on some holiday baking. Etc. it'll be lots of fun.
