(no subject)
It's been a pretty eventful week.
Lilly scared the crap out of all of us...she's been sick but seemed to be getting better so no one was too worried. Then her fever spiked when she was sleeping. Rob went in to check on her because she started crying and she just froze up and wasn't reacting to anything, and then she had a seizure. Can't even imagine how scary it would be to see your 10-month-old have a seizure. She got rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and is going to be okay thank god.
I found out Best Buy is keeping me as a permanent part-timer! Austin said he wants to keep training me so if there was ever a full-time opening I'd have a good shot at it. So that's very cool. I really like it there. So yeah obviously my boss didn't buy racist dude's bullshit. It helped that right before the guy called to report me, a customer came to my manager to tell him how great and nice and helpful I was.
Today is the first day of my new semester. My journalism teacher is a pretty big deal...used to write for the New York Times, wrote 2 novels, and has been on the Today Show. Dang. It's going to be a tough semester, but I like my classes.
And I saved pretty much the biggest piece of news for last...I moved out. Don't feel like getting into the entire long story right now, so ask me if you want to know. Basically I had a huge fight with my brother and my dad. I'm just done with it. I'm ready to be independent and away from them. Right now I'm living at Jacob's, but I'm applying for tons of scholarships and next year want to transfer somewhere with dorms. It's tempting to just stay here and get an apartment with Jacob...but I'd end up at a school I didn't really like b/c UMD doesn't have what I want to major in. So I'll probably end up at Central or in Chicago. We'll see. Hopefully Best Buy can just transfer me to another store if/when that happens.
Well the laptops gonna die soon so that's it for now.
