update
I've been distracted with school and work, so I haven't had much time for Live Journal. The semester is almost over, and that's good because I am ready for Christmas Break. It's over a month, compared to the Christmas breaks in high school and below, which are about 2 weeks.
Well, I did enjoy my Thanksgiving break. However, I had to work last Monday, which was supposed to be my off night. One of the closers was sick, so Burger King called me, and I agreed to fill in. Hey...more hours, more money! Last Tuesday, I didn't have to go to my 6:00pm night class, since the holiday break began at 5:00pm. I didn't have to work that night as well. I did work on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights. Those nights weren't that big of a deal, since each night was either 2 or three hours. I think the managers were expecting Burger King to be extremely busy during Thanksgiving break, but the times I was clocked in at work those three nights, it was just the same type of business as usual.
My grandmother cooked the main parts of Thanksgiving dinner, and my parents, brother, cousin, and her mother and grandmother went to my grandmother's house for the meal. After the meal, my cousin and I went to my Great Aunt's house, and hung out with some more cousins. It was a great Thanksgiving day, except for the fact that I had to work that day. Oh well, at least Burger King is closed for Christmas!
After school today, I cashed in my check, which was $118.03
I look forward to the day where I have enough money to get my own vehicle. Most likely, I'm going to accept the full amount of my student loan for next semester, so I can add that with most of the money I already have saved up, so I can purchase a car right off the bat. That way, I won't have a monthly payment to be concerned about-just the insurance and gas money.
It rained all the time I was at school, and the cold water mixed with the cold, winter atmosphere caused the day to be gloomy, which best fits a Winter Monday after a holiday break, I guess.
Finals are next week, so I need to get to studying-especially for history!
