I had a nightmare this morning. It went something like this:
I was in an alley, with tall building to every side. It was night, so there was no light coming from the entrance or exit. A i was standing there, I suddenly realized it was pitch black. I could see nothing.
With my fears growing, I began to look for a way out. Then I heard a deep, menacing voice.
"You weren't supposed to come into the dark." I couldn't see the speaker. I thought, 'He's too close to run; my only chance is to scream.' So I tried to draw in a deep breath, only to find that my throat and mouth were way too dry (from the fear) to get out a scream.
Then I woke up. I had about five minutes until my alarm was going to go off. My mouth was parched.
I think I had that dream because I have been a bit paranoid on GRCC's parking ramp; I get out of class well after dark, and there have been a few rapes in the past year. I mentally berated myself a bit, remembering too late that it is better to yell 'Fire' than 'Help' if you are in trouble. Bystander effect.
I may have also broken the C&C machine today. If so, it would probably cost $ 100+ to fix it. In my defense, I followed all of my dad's instructions, I just...didn't pay attention. When the drill ran into the metal thing, I about had a panic attack. I lunged for the 'Feed Hold' button and started cursing. It seemed alright...but we'll see when my dad looks at it.
Softball conditioning started today. Whoop dee doo.
