9/11/01 - 5/1/11
I learned about the 9/11 attack reading away messages on AIM in college. A girl who used to live with my first swim team little sister posted that we were being attacked, and to turn on the news. There is an odd sense of symmetry that I found out on Facebook tonight that Osama Bin Ladin was killed by the U.S. troops in a mansion near Islamabad. It seems amazing that this has taken 10 years. I don't rejoice in his death, and feel sorry over the thousands that have died in the initial attack, and the illegal wars that have happened since. If only this would bring an end to the fighting, and the killing. He was a bit of a figurehead. I hope whatever is said tonight will be done humbly. The bee hive has been kicked enough.
