excerpt from HEROES

Such a great show. Wow.

Hiro about his father:

I refuse to eulogize my father.
To eulogize him is to admit he is gone.
My father is not dead...
Kaito Nakamura taught me right from wrong.
What it means to be a hero...
So long as the lessons live on through me...
he will never die.
My father taught me to understand that...
certain things are in God's hands.
But for everything else...
God has given us the gift of choice.

My father gave me the tools to fight the battles ahead.
Every hand I extend in kindness is his hand.
And every blow that I strike for justice is his fist.
So long as the lessons he taught stay with me.
And so long as he lives on in my heart.
Then my father is never truly dead.

Wow. This makes me miss my family. I'm glad I'll see most of them soon.

I haven't posted in awhile. I guess a lot has been going on.  Work is work. So many things are changing...

I'm dating a nice girl. She doesn't want to be mentioned too much online. So I'll respect that. We go dancing every Sunday afternoon. She's much better than me, but we have fun anyway.

Congrats to Angel that Mike came home! I hope you guys are doing well!

I hope your eye surgery went well Sarah!

Congrats on passing the bar J!

To everyone else who hasn't posted recently, or who happens across my journal, I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

I'll end this in my usual way before taking off on a trip (even though I'm leaving Wednesday)...

On a white ship shall I sail,
Watching shadows pass for me...
