jrockyaoi LemonAdvent - which I missed completely, but I decided to finish the story anyway. Gomen nasai!
It was two days before Xmas Eve and it was snowing; large, fluffy flakes falling softly as feathers from the darkness above. Ruki huddled his face further into the warmth of his scarf, only his eyes shining black and hard above the brightly coloured wool Uruha had wrapped, lovingly and haphazardly, around him before dragging him out and up to the roof of their building as soon as the first flakes were spotted from their living room window.
“Isn’t it beautiful!” the blond exclaimed, turning circles with his arms outstretched and his face turned to the Heavens.
“S’cold.” Ruki huffed.
Smiling at his lover’s endearing grumpiness Uruha bounced over to him and threw his arms around the shivering frame, snuggling the beloved Grouch close. He placed a soft kiss on Ruki’s head and nuzzled his nose into the slowly dampening red-brown hair.
“Look up.” He whispered.
Relinquishing the welcome security of his woollen mask Ruki raised his head, his eyes caught by the glow of warm amber fixed with such sincere adoration upon him, Uruha’s hair shining in the pale light like a halo. So beautiful!
He yelped in sudden shock when two large flakes landed, one on his nose and one on his lips.
“Don’t!” Uruha cried, laughing as he caught hold of Ruki’s face, preventing him from burying himself once more in the warm mask. He smiled down at the smaller man and lightly kissed the places touched by the snow, “It’s good luck, you know. My Grandmother called them Kisses from the Angels.”
And, despite himself, Ruki smiled.
