Today I had my weekly long run.
Two weeks ago (12/28 - 1/3) I ran 20 miles.
Last week (1/4 - 1/10) I ran 10.8 miles (and worked out very little).
This week, I started out with a 6 mile walk/run. I was accompanying
The Ambitious One on her last long pre-marathon run. She has this nasty chest cold - and honestly, I can't believe she made it for the 6 miles! She was really hurting.
After the run, I stopped at 24 to take a shower & change before meeting
all sorts of crazy blogging runner fools at
Bijou for brunch. It was a good brunch. Of course, we missed
Emily (she was off setting new PRs, and preparing for her half marathon in 2 weeks) and
HTC (who is in Puerto Rico, making us all jealous).
It's so much fun hanging out with a bunch of runners - we talked about blisters, and shoes, and upcoming races. I decided to add the
Race for the Roses 5K to my spring race schedule. I also signed up for the
Shamrock 15K today, and decided that I will, for sure, do the
Bridge to Brews 10K again (this will be my 3rd year with that race, and my 2nd with the Shamrock).
After the architect got home from his VERY muddy mountain bike ride, we headed to Leisure for a couple of beers and are home again for dinner.
Tomorrow I have a LOT of work (not work, work - just other work) to do, and then I have to go pick up my newly repaired boots before hitting Bikram again for the first time in 6 weeks! I'm going to be sore Tuesday, I think!
