yeh, you're right; there's something in common with the residents' aesthetics.
and the name you asked me shoukd be pronounced like "víc-tor", but it's really difficult teaching a sound in this way.

Oh, thanx. The first point is clear.
But I still don't understand about the accent in this word.
Let's try the english style of transcription: [vi:ktor] or like in French [vikto:r] (for example Victor Hugo)?

Actually I have to get to know how to pronounce the name of this man:

mmm, im not into phonetics, but only can tell you that the main accent it's on the i (that's because it's í). so in vÍctor the first it's the strongest.

Erice, poor man. he has always been so understimated in my country..

Yes yes! The strongest! That's what i meant!
And just for sure, sometimes you pronounce 'V' like 'B'. For example the phrase "hasta la vista" you speak like "asta la Bista". Don't you do it with this name? Just for sure :)

Erice is a very great movie director! We can't find his "El Sur" in russian with worthy quality, and i decided to make the russian interpreting for this movie, just for myself and my friends. Do you remember this movie? :)
