well here i am...4 months into my tour here in Iceland. Its beautiful, it really is. My days for work are pretty normal, I work from 7:30 am to about 2:45 to 4:30 depending if I am going to PT that day. I received my first qualification about 3 weeks ago, I am working on getting my 2nd one next week and then I should have my 3rd qual. sometime next month. They are going to make me day staff, one of my higher ups has specifically asked me to come work with him, he seems to think I'll make a good instructor. Everyday is something different here, I think thats what I love about it. I was asked if I am going to re-up for another 4 years...I honestly don't know, but I am enjoying myself. I have made some amazing friends here...Pablo is from Guam, he is amazing. He looks out for me b/c hes been in for about 6 years and we act just alike, he has a g/f (soon to be fiance) in Florida at Eglin AFB. Then there is Steve, hes been in for about 3 years now, I spend just about everyday with him. We can do just about nothing or party it up and either way I have a blast. He's from California, he trys to talk like me and it is the funniest thing to hear him put a country accent on his voice. Then we have Katie, shes been in for almost 4 years, she is from Oregon. Katie is...well words can't dp justice for her. She is amazing, we have experienced a bunch of the same things and I think thats what makes us such great friends. I believe all of us are spending Thanksgiving together...it'll be my first away from home...but not theirs, so they plan on taking care of me b/c they know its gonna be hard for me over the holidays. Steph and I broke up...it was an extremely hard choice but it was for the best. We still talk just about everyday and we are still good friends. My mom is moving back to Royse City to a house right around the corner from my dad, that way Brent won't have near as far to drive to work. My dad is still fixing the house up...he sent me pics and its looking really good. I hardly get to talk to anyone else, unless they are on the comp. b/c now we are just about 6 hours apart. I should be home sometime next august...but I'll be home for about a month. But I gotta go...I gotta finish my laundry and call Steve...we have to pick Katie up from the airport 2morrow and I need to iron out the details. I miss ya'll.
