Fantastic!! Bravo! Splendorous! You absolutely rock!!!!!!! A-hem. Now for my more collected and organised comment :p The dynamics between the two is quite well done, I think ACD himself would be proud, and the manner in which they actually interact implies that there's already some measure of intrique, mystery and fascination of one for the other - Sherlock's probably all three with interest but John's not exactly dull either. The initial meeting between them wherein Sherlock helps John, gets a date and such is quite something - and also there's a part of me that wasn't really surprised by any of it, lol. The sharing of the taxi makes me think, that John already has some sort of trust with Sherlock since, if you've just donated bone marrow (it's painful and you'd probably have the gait and strength of a corpse for a while) so that suggests that there is something about Sherlock which John either can relate to or simply accept.... (this is why I stopped doing English after GCSE, too much analysis!! :p) Sherlock breaking into John's house is amusingly Sherlockian but John's reaction of basically still allowing the man in his home is also quite Johnian (I'll stop making words up now ;p) but not in the typical way. John would normally be annoyed by Sherlock breaking into a house or such but here John is more interested in the fact that Sherlock is so determined to have a 'date' with him that he even resorts to breaking and entering. That's got to make you wonder just how devoted Sherlock can be (and if he has potential to become a stalker if you reject him but I digress...) Their 'date' was quite low-key but also totally befitting of these two, Sherlock's thought-process and rationalising of the entire debacle is also typical Sherlock with a bit of irrational emotion thrown in quite elegantly. The end scene where John is spontaneous and kisses Sherlock is perhaps my favourite bit of this entire chapter since it just screams "I'm not ordinary though I may appear to be!" about John. And the fact that Sherlock's face when John closed the door afterward must have been quite the picture ;) Anyway, thank you for this and I'm going in search of more of it!! Kasey :D
