Track 10: Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

Aug 09, 2010 16:33

[ It's already been three days. Three days and she still showed no indication of waking up from her droning.

The first day he had taken off from work and had spent that day mostly inside, sitting on the living room sofa and watching absent-mindedly the evidence box which laid in front of him on the table. He hadn't touched his notes, just watched them. He had went bed early that day.

He hadn't got any sleep that night, just thinking of her and what she would do in this situation. Something stupid and foolish, perhaps. He had chuckled a bit at the thought, but he wasn't like her, no.

The second day he had gone back to work, but instead of doing the paper work that had been given to him, he had spent the day thinking. And finally, when he had grown tired of that, he had left early.

This time he didn't just watch his notes, he looked through them and very thoroughly at that. He hoped they would give him the answer he was looking for, but like always, there wasn't anything new on them and certainly nothing mindbreaking. But most of all, no answer for the question he had; why?

On the third day, he had completely gotten his self-confidence back and decided to finally do what he should have done on the first day. ]

[ Filtered from drones and the like. ]

Ema's droned.

[ He knows some might question the use of her first name, but he doesn't care. Just because she's been gone for the past three days, doesn't mean things should go back to the way they used to be. There was still hope. ]

[[ ooc: you don't necessarily have to answer the phone call only. Housemates are welcome to have seen him around the house during the first two days and other lawyers at work during the second day. ]]
