my first round of obs.
i went to navarro academy today for my first round of observations. The class i was assigned to was luckily an art class. The teacher is relaxed and the students are the same. The classes are very small,,like three students per class. So the atmosphere is very intimate and like i said before relaxed. I sat with two girls today and made ceramic pendants with one. They were very cool girls, we chatted and shared thoughts. I have a feeling i am really going to enjoy this semester with these students. The navarro academy is an alternative school so the kids are usually high risk students. From today's visit i put together that these students lives are filled with ups and downs, run ins with the police, and hard times. I feel like i will learn alot from these students.
