I really don't update this thing much do I? Ok....here's this.

When my mom visited me this summer, she got to experience the joy of my 20 yr old beemer, with no AC I might add, dying at its own whim. She decided that's not much fun, considering I have two kids a lot of the time. And this is florida. Hotness with a beach. So anyway, she keeps her eyes open for a slightly more reliable clunker than what I have when she gets back home. Finds one. A 600 bucks 17 yr old rice burner with moderately functional AC. Rock on, mom! She then tells me and my brother (who lives up in the same area, obviously) to work out how to get it down here to me. Lucky us, we pick the weekend when hurricane Jeanne is coming to town. He and a couple friends tow it all the way down here from Arkansas. Then leave the very next day in order to get out ahead of the approaching big messy scary spinny storm (as my son calls them.)

So, to wrap up the long story, I got a "new" car, folks. No great shakes, of course, but one that won't die for no apparent reason on the way up Matthew's Bridge. And one for which the parts don't cost two- to three-hundred bucks for, no matter what is wrong.

So yes...I grew up like the Walton's Not Sam Walton....but the Walton's from Walton Mountain. Yes, the old TV show. This is why I never complain that I grew up in a dysfunctional family, lol.

That's about it. Catch you later.
