Top Three Episodes Meme - Day 2: Scrubs

3. Episode 6X06: My Musical

Kind of like Buffy's "Once More, with Feeling", I love this one because of the fact that the whole episode involves singing, and it comes up with a hilarious excuse - involving a patient with a disease that makes her think everyone is singing; some of the songs are hilarious, such as JD and Turk singing about "guy love", probably a response to lots of people writing slash fanfics about them.

2. Episode 5X07: My Way Home

The 100th episode; I love all the ways that the episode pays homage to "The Wizard of Oz", including JD's "Toto" iPod, the Yellow Brick Road references, and Jordan - trapped in a room - shouting, "I'M MELTING!" The episode involves JD being called in on his day off and trying to get back home from the hospital; I particularly love the final shot as he finally gets away, and the whole montage about having "a brain, a heart and courage".

1. Episode 1X22: My Occurrence

This is one of the first episodes where Scrubs involves more serious, emotional, subjects. This episode introduces Jordan's brother Ben, played by Brendan Fraser, who provides a lot of the funny moments in the episode, but JD learns that Ben has leukemia. For the whole second half of the episode, JD tries to prove that this diagnosis is wrong, and this leads to several surreal, and very moving scenes, resulting in him finding that Ben is not ill; suddenly, it is revealed that the last ten minutes or so was just JD's fantasy; it never happened, and he is left to give the bad news to Dr. Cox and Ben. The ending is very tear-jerking; the episode is actually part one of a two-parter, but I prefer this part, and it is definitely my favourite ever episode of Scrubs.
